Job summary

Merck seeks a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology to lead scientific exchange and strategic medical activities for approved and in-development programs.

This credentialed director interacts with national/regional Scientific Leaders, coordinates data exchange, and ensures alignment with GMSA policies, SOPs, and compliant medical information delivery.

Qualifications

• Credentialed medical affairs leader (PhD/MD/PharmD/DNP) with field medical experience.
• Strong scientific communication and ability to discuss complex data with SLs.
• Experience in inflammation, IBD immunology, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national/regional SLs to provide approved medical information.
• Leads peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains medical contact within the company.
• Directs SL inquiries on non-product topics to appropriate resources per policy.
• Maintains current knowledge of AOI and dynamic scientific/clinical developments in the therapeutic area.
