Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking a Regional Medical Director to lead market-facing clinical performance across provider networks and geographies. You will partner with networks, Quality, Risk Adjustment, and Operations teams to drive Stars, HEDIS, and population health outcomes.

As a physician leader, you will influence care delivery, use data to close gaps, and support value-based contracts while ensuring regulatory compliance. This hybrid role requires CA licensure and regular market engagement.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in an ABMS or AOA-recognized specialty.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in CA.
• Preferred: Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Lead provider performance across markets and provider networks.
• Analyze clinical, operational, financial, utilization, and quality data to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Develop market-specific strategies that improve MLR, utilization, quality outcomes, and population health.
• Collaborate with providers and internal teams to implement evidence-based improvements.
• Travel to market sites as required to engage with providers and systems.
