Job summary

Stella Mental Health in Utah is seeking a Regional Medical Director to lead Clinical Operations across designated clinics. You will ensure safety, compliance, and clinical excellence while embedding the Transformative Care philosophy into practice.

The role reports to the Chief Psychiatry Officer and requires guiding medical leadership, credentialing, recruitment, and performance monitoring to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction across the network.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted license in good standing.
• 7+ years of clinical experience, 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing multi-site operations and leading interdisciplinary teams.
• EMR proficiency and ability to analyze clinical metrics.
• Willingness to travel regionally to oversee clinics.

Responsibilities

• Embodies mission, vision, and values to foster clinical excellence and compassionate care.
• Collaborate with Clinic Medical Directors and Stella Medical Leadership to elevate care standards.
• Partner with Director of Operations to align clinical and operational priorities.
• Lead Medical Director meetings and provide mentorship to physicians and staff.
• Support recruitment, credentialing, onboarding, and workforce development.
• Develop cohesive action plans with Operations to meet performance and quality goals.
• Embed Transformative Care principles into clinical practice and ensure protocol adherence.
• Monitor patient outcomes and KPIs; coach clinicians to improve quality and satisfaction.
• Oversee regional incident reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
