Job summary

Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care in St. Louis seeks an experienced Regional Associate Medical Director to lead clinical teams across the market while maintaining direct patient care. This role blends administrative leadership with hands-on clinical practice in Urgent Care settings.

The AMD will mentor physicians/APPs, implement best practices, participate in recruitment and staff management, and drive quality improvement, quality & safety across locations while upholding accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical leadership or administrative experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to physicians and APPs across the St. Louis market.
• Partner with Market Medical Director and Advanced Practice Lead to implement clinical best practices and standardized care protocols.
• Participate in recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of clinical staff.
• Collaborate with operational leadership to enhance provider performance, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Represent the clinical team in leadership meetings and strategic planning discussions.
• Maintain 0.5 FTE clinical practice to stay connected with front-line care delivery.
• Promote a positive and inclusive team culture focused on patient satisfaction and clinical excellence.
