Job summary

Turnwell Mental Health Network is seeking a Biller II in Sioux Falls to support regional patient billing activities and collaborate with the Billing Team. You will handle day-to-day billing including posting payments, reviewing denials, and researching issues to provide accurate resolutions with empathy.

The role requires 2–3 years of billing experience, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of medical billing experience with claims submission and denial follow-up.
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes and reimbursement rules.
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, and/or commercial payers.
• Proficiency with EHR and medical billing software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Post insurance and patient payments, adjustments, and reconcile remittance advice accurately.
• Review claim rejections and basic denials, apply corrections and escalate as needed.
• Assist with follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
• Serve as regional liaison for patients with billing inquiries and research issues.
• Document all contacts and resolutions in the EHR and billing system; maintain auditable records.
• Escalate unresolved cases to Billing Lead or Director with a clear summary.
