Allure HCS is seeking a Regional MDS Consultant (RN) to oversee 15 facilities in the Quad City Area, including:

  • Allure of Peru
  • Allure of Pinecrest
  • Allure of Prophetstown
  • Allure of Quad Cities
  • Allure of Sterling
  • Allure of Stockton
  • Allure of Walnut
  • Allure of Zion

The Regional MDS Consultant (RN) will ensure accurate and timely completion of Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to secure appropriate reimbursement. The role involves integrating nursing, dietary, social, recreational, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services for proper assessment and reimbursement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and coordinating the Nursing Facility Level of Care (NFLOC) process, including staff training
  • Serving as the primary resource for facility MDS Coordinators
  • Conducting orientation and ongoing education for staff involved in MDS
  • Maintaining current knowledge of MDS and regulatory changes
  • Developing training materials and updating the MDS User Manual
  • Traveling to facilities for evaluations and training
  • Managing CMS TPE and ADR audits
  • Understanding PDPM payment process for Medicare Part A
  • Creating weekly updates on MDS issues and procedural guides
  • Reviewing facility processing and advising on trends
  • Preparing reports on facility operations
  • Participating in regulatory compliance surveys
  • Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Demonstrating respect, compassion, honesty, and integrity in interactions
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Experience in Skilled Nursing/Rehabilitation facilities
  • Extensive knowledge of MDS processes in long-term care
  • Experience in multi-site, regional roles
  • 2-3 years as an MDS Coordinator
  • RAC-CT or RNAC preferred
  • Leadership and supervisory experience preferred
