Job summary

BD is seeking a Regional Manager for its Peripheral Intervention (PI) unit to drive sales objectives and manage personnel within the district. The role focuses on directing activities, hiring staff, and fostering district growth across clinical and sales teams.

The position requires strong leadership, a track record of top sales performance, and the ability to navigate hospital procurement dynamics in a fast-paced healthcare market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five years outside medical sales experience or equivalency.
• Demonstrated human relations and communication skills.
• Proven top 20% sales performance in multiple years.
• Successful proven track record of leading people and/or teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement, direct, and control district sales activities.
• Recruit, interview, and select sales and clinical personnel.
• Develop district personnel to assume increased responsibilities.
• Operate a district sales office and maintain pertinent records.
• Plan and conduct district sales meetings.
• Communicate with the Area Vice President of Sales on pricing, product acceptance, industry/competitive trends, and marketing strategies.
• Travel with sales associates and clinical specialists within the geography on a weekly basis.
• Recommend changes in compensation for district employees.

Our Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, and end‑stage renal disease and maintenance.

Summary Of Position With General Responsibilities

As a Regional Manager, you will achieve sales objectives in line with the marketing plan through effective management of personnel and resources.

• Implement, direct, and control district sales activities.
• Recommend, implement, and promote contests and other incentive programs.
• Recruit, interview, and select sales and clinical personnel.
• Develop district personnel to assume increased responsibilities.
• Operate a district sales office and maintain pertinent records.
• Plan and conduct district sales meetings.
• Communicate with the Area Vice President of Sales on pricing, product acceptance, industry/competitive trends, and marketing strategies.
• Travel with sales associates and clinical specialists within the geography on a weekly basis.
• Recommend changes in compensation for district employees.
