Fairfield Residential is seeking a Regional Maintenance Support Specialist to support multiple communities across the Northern Virginia, Maryland and DC region. The role requires extensive travel (up to 85%) with an auto allowance and on-site presence at properties within the DMV.

You will lead maintenance teams, perform advanced diagnostics across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and more, manage capital projects, and ensure safety and compliance.

Competenze

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • EPA Certification Type II or universal required.
  • CPO Certification (Pool) strongly preferred; must obtain within 90 days if not.
  • CAMT Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on building maintenance experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Multifamily/apartment experience required.
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management software.

About the Role

The Regional Maintenance Support Specialist supports multiple communities within the Northern Virginia / Maryland / DC Region by providing advanced technical expertise, hands-on repair capability, and on-request supervisory support. This role ensures high-quality maintenance operations, strengthens team performance through training and leadership, and contributes to capital project success across the region. Please note: This position requires extensive travel, up to 85% of the time, throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, with occasional travel to Massachusetts, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina as business needs dictate. This role involves regular on-site visits to properties across the DMV, so candidates should live within the region. To support travel, a monthly auto allowance is provided. While several preferred locations are noted, only one position is open.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Mentor and cross-train maintenance associates at assigned communities.
  • Provide on-request supervision, coaching, and hiring support.
  • Promote and support participation in Fairfield training programs.
Maintenance Operations & Repairs
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and common-area upkeep.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies when needed.
Project & Vendor Support
  • Oversee on-site capex projects and vendor work quality.
  • Assist with bidding, scope development, and procurement.

Estimated Rate of Pay

Estimated Rate of Pay: $84,840.00 - $91,520.00

This position is exempt; the range above reflects annual salary. The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any). In addition to base salary, Fairfield offers all full time associates the following, upon meeting eligibility requirements:

Pay range is a calculation based on a midpoint price.
