Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Regional Maintenance Specialist to support senior living communities across Southern California. The role requires up to 95% travel and involves acting as Maintenance Director in their absence, overseeing maintenance, housekeeping, staffing, and budgets to maintain safe, clean, and welcoming properties.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 2+ years in residential maintenance/housekeeping, knowledge of construction and budgeting, and

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer minimum two years’ experience in residential maintenance and/or housekeeping handling upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing and structural matters.
• Knowledge of building construction, budgeting, expense management, preventative maintenance software, and basic computer skills.
• Prefer at least one year experience supervising and managing employees.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Maintenance Director in absence of the community's Maintenance Director and oversee maintenance and housekeeping operations to keep the property safe, clean, and comfortable.
• Plan, organize, direct and supervise routine and preventive maintenance tasks and coordinate with the Executive Director on staffing and merit decisions.
• Travel up to 95% to support communities across Southern California and adjust assignments as needed.

Pay Range- $80,000-$90,000

The Regional Maintenance Specialist will support our senior living communities throughout Southern California. Up to 95% Travel Required. Travel to assigned Communities based on need and priority. Travel assignments may be for extended periods of time and may frequently change; flexibility and availability are required.

The Regional Maintenance Specialist is responsible for serving as a Maintenance Director in the absence of a community’s Maintenance Director. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, performing, and directing the general operating maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the physical plant, the interior, and exterior of the Community to maintain proper operations of the property. Will oversee the general operations of the maintenance department and housekeeping department to ensure that the property is maintained in a safe, clean and comfortable manner in accordance with property policies and procedures. Additionally, they will be responsible for the hiring, evaluating, coordinating, motivating, monitoring performance, scheduling and supervising the department staff and will make recommendations to the Executive Director with respect to staff evaluations, merit pay increases, reprimands, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
