Since 1995, Amazon has expanded its product offerings, international sites, and worldwide network of fulfillment and customer service centers. We are seeking a dynamic, organized self-starter to be a Regional Manager (RM) of Facilities Maintenance to join our engineering team. The primary responsibility is to maximize equipment uptime, execute maintenance, and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be a highly experienced subject matter expert in facilities maintenance, workplace safety, and data-driven management. Experience with MHE systems, automation, and distribution processes is a plus. The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects, influence others, and oversee large-scale project commissioning. Providing technical leadership and mentoring to maintenance teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and mentor Facilities Managers across the North American Fulfillment Network.
  2. Drive maintenance best practices, safety, and process improvements.
  3. Advise leadership on maintenance and equipment lifecycle issues using ROI and analytics.
  4. Oversee budget, capital planning, and vendor relationships.
  5. Monitor maintenance activities, enforce safety, and conduct training.
  6. Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and procurement processes.
  7. Collaborate with General Managers to align facilities management.
  8. Recruit and develop talent in facilities maintenance roles.
Basic Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience leading large teams (250+ employees) in facilities roles.
  3. Proven ability to lead change in multi-site environments.
  4. 7+ years managing employee performance.
  5. Ability to travel up to 80%.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
  2. Experience with manufacturing or complex industries.
  3. Data analysis and process development skills.
  4. Knowledge of MHE systems, Lean, TOC, safety, and ergonomics.
  5. Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, SQL.
  6. Masters degree or Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a plus.
  7. Professional Engineering license is a plus.
