Job summary

Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a maintenance/operations leader in Owensboro, KY. You will oversee service operations, mentor maintenance teams, and drive uptime across vending and related equipment. The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and process improvements to support growth.

Required focus includes coordinating preventative maintenance, managing expenses, and ensuring regulatory compliance while traveling as needed to support multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and five years related experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
• Willingness to travel frequently with overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

Provides leadership and direction for all maintenance and service operations across the assigned region, driving consistency in service standards, customer satisfaction, and overall operational performance.

Manages and develops maintenance teams, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.

Oversees preventative maintenance programs and ensures timely repair and service of vending, micro market, and related equipment to maximize uptime and meet customer expectations.

Monitors and controls maintenance expenses, parts inventory, and fleet/equipment costs, and maintains oversight of tools and company assets to ensure proper use and condition.

Establishes and enforces safety standards, company policies, and regulatory compliance across all locations.

Analyzes service metrics to implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce downtime, and partners with operations and sales leadership to support new business installations and growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Associates degree and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Must be able to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check.

Must be able to travel frequently with frequent overnight stays.

Preferred Qualifications

EPA HVAC certification, CMRT certification, CMRP certification, and/or electrical technician certification preferred.
