Job summary

Azria Health is seeking a Regional Maintenance Assistant to support the regional Director of Maintenance across healthcare facilities in Kansas and Iowa, with travel to multiple sites to handle preventive and corrective maintenance and oversee facility operations.

You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC and safety tasks, conduct inspections, and log records in the TELS system. Strong technical skills and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Two years’ experience in building maintenance.
• Familiarity with NFPA and Life Safety codes.
• Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventive maintenance and repair functions of building and equipment.
• Assist with carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical upkeep and emergency repairs.
• Conduct inspections and document findings.
• Ensure facility compliance with state and federal regulations and fire safety requirements.
• Maintain logs in the TELS program and update inspections and drills.

Azria Health has an immediate opening for a Regional Maintenance Assistant. The purpose of this position is to assist our regional Director of Maintenance with multiple functions of buildings operations and maintenance for healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in healthcare building management and strong technical skills. This is a regional position so it will require travel to multiple buildings throughout Kansas and Iowa.

Responsibilities And Duties

FIRST!!! MUST BE PASSIONATE ABOUT THE CARE OF OUR RESIDENTS AND THEIR WELL BEING

• Perform general and preventive maintenance and repair functions of building and equipment.
• Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, sheet rock and electrical upkeep and emergency repairs and assist contractors to perform major repairs.
• Conduct inspections on a regular basis for necessary upkeep and document findings.
• Ensure that the facility is in compliance in all areas required by State and Federal regulations as well as meeting the Fire Marshall's requirements.
• Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance such as fire alarm test, zone lines, sprinkler system, and safety surveys.
• This position will be responsible for using the TELS program and keeping all logs, inspections and drills current and up to date.
• Plans schedule based on current and projected needs per facility policy.
• Maintain records or documentation per policies.
• Respond to emergency calls.
