Job Overview:


The Region Logistics Leader will have responsibility for Domestic and Regional suppliers, processes and programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods for the business. This role owns logistics processes and programs that enable the business to maximize customer service performance while minimizing costs and improving working capital.



Responsibilities:


  • Analyze and drive Parcel, Less-Than-Truckload, Truckload, Drayage, Sea Freight and Air Freight transportation cost savings opportunities (productivity) and improve Newt Working Capital (Cash Flow) utilizing data maintained in various sources



  • Develop and implement operational solutions on a lane and network level



  • Develop an understanding of customer processes to enhance cross-functional initiatives and effectively communicate/integrate improvements



  • Research root cause of issues, recommend improvements in existing processes and implement corrective action plans / counter-measures where necessary



  • Daily management of logistics supplier partners



  • Own and lead Transportation Management System (TMS) and Freight Invocie Audit & Payment (FIAP) deployments



  • Negotiate logistics service agreements; monitor trends in shipping patterns and lane utilization; minimize overall freight expenses



  • Determine optimal logistics supplier assignments; own and manage Supplier Routing Guides



  • Develop and deploy logistics and transportation policies, business practices, and programs to support the short term and long-range business needs; revise as needed to ensure continuous improvement efforts



  • Monitor performance of Logistics programs and processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of raw materials, work-in process and finished goods



  • Align with Business Unit Leaders to drive overall cost savings (productivity)



  • Proactively search the supply chain network to identify cost, optimization and process improvement opportunities



  • Develop programs and manage relationships with logistics service providers to augment the movement of finished goods through distribution networks



  • Align with Operations, Materials and Business Unit Leaders to enhance logistics needs to support various operational, replenishment, and customer delivery models



  • Partner with Trade Compliance to ensure regulatory and company standards for cost control, shipping policies and initiatives



  • Deliver excellent logistics performance while achieving a best-cost service model





Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree




  • 5+ years of in Transportation or Logistics Management




  • 5 years of experience with Import and export




  • 10+ years with supply chain, procurement, operations

Preferences:


  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations or related field;



  • MBA preferred



  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking and risk management skills



  • Strong project management and process development skills, including leadership of projects or teams in a matrix environment



  • Experience with large, complex cross-functional projects



  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels of the organization, as well as strong relationship management skills



  • Proficient to an advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio and Project

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 25% per year





Pay Range


The pay range for this role is $135,000-$150,000, excluding incentive opportunities. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
