Job summary

The Davis H. Elliot Company is seeking a Regional Training Coordinator to lead training across the Western Region, covering Oklahoma and nearby states.

You will oversee the lineman apprenticeship program, evaluate field proficiency, and coordinate onboarding and ongoing safety training for crews. This role reports to the Safety, Training & Compliance Manager and requires hands-on line construction experience, strong instructional skills, and travel readiness to support safety and performance

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight years of hands-on power line construction experience in transmission and/or distribution.
• Experience training apprentices and line workers; evaluate practical skills.
• Strong knowledge of line construction methods, rigging, grounding, energized work, and hazard recognition; apply OSHA/NESC requirements in training.
• Ability to deliver classroom and field instruction with clear feedback to learners at varying experience levels.
• Strong organizational skills to manage training schedules, apprentice progression, qualification records, and multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and systems used to maintain training records and report results.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Oklahoma and nearby states for training and field evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the region's trainer efforts, developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs that meet operational needs and safety standards.
• Coordinate annual training, including OSHA, CPR/First Aid, ET&D, SIF prevention, New Hire Orientation, and other required sessions.
• Onboard new hires with orientation, safety, and skills training; communicate training needs to field leadership.
• Lead the regional lineman apprenticeship program and ensure alignment with program standards.
• Conduct apprentice skill testing, evaluations, and proficiency assessments; document results and coordinate additional instruction.
• Maintain apprentice progress records and resolve incomplete requirements with field leadership.
• Supervise regional driver training programs and coordinate with Safety and HR leadership.
• Schedule training facilities, equipment, materials, and instructors to ensure timely delivery.
• Update training materials to reflect current regulatory, safety, and operational standards.
