Job summary

Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing Solutions provider, seeks a Principal Automation Engineer, Regional, to lead regional deployment of warehouse and material handling automation. You will mentor site teams, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure scalable, reliable automation across North America EMS sites.

The role emphasizes execution, NPI support, and integration with production operations, with collaboration across the General Automation team and Sr. Manager of Automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 12+ years of experience in warehouse automation and material handling.
• Experience driving multi-site deployment and startup, ramp, troubleshooting, and sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional execution of material handling and warehouse automation initiatives across multiple North America EMS sites.
• Support NPI and New Automation Asset Introduction with site teams and suppliers.
• Guide deployment of new automation systems including requirements alignment, supplier engagement, evaluation, installation, startup, ramp, validation and handoff.
• Demonstrate strong project execution discipline and lead cross-functional teams through to completion.
• Coordinate with third-party integrators, AMR/AGV/FMR suppliers, and warehouse automation providers to ensure integrated solutions.
• Ensure alignment between warehouse automation and production operations; mentor engineers and build capability across sites.
