Job summary

Airgas, a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases and hardgoods, seeks an Inventory Control Manager in Salem, NH. You will lead cycle counts, analyze variances, and partner with branches to optimize inventory performance.

The role requires a degree in business/science or equivalent experience, plus 3 years in inventory management and SAP/Excel proficiency. Travel within assigned territory is possible.

Qualifications

• Degree in business, science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ideally, 3 years of inventory management experience.
• Preferred: inventory analysis experience, SAP, and bulk/gas industry analytics.
• Proficiency with Google Office & MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Excellent organization and time management with competing priorities.
• Verbal and written communication, listening, and teamwork.
• Demonstrated diplomacy and thoughtful communication in challenging situations.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and operate in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plants and branches for hardgoods cycle counts.
• Review and approve inventory adjustments per variance thresholds.
• Support inventory programs, promotions, and new product lineups.
• Assist Accounts Payable and Corporate Purchasing with invoices.
• Provide branch-based reporting on inventory turns and adjustments.
• Help reduce hardgoods day supply and obsolete stock levels.
• Train and onboard associates on inventory processes.
