Job summary

Lennar is hiring a Regional Interior Design Assistant to support the Manager, Interior Design and team in developing and implementing model homes in the Sacramento area. The role emphasizes prioritizing multiple projects, staying detail oriented, and maintaining a professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with design execution, CAD drafting, material sourcing, and documentation, with travel to model installations as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years interior design or related experience.
  • Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, Word and PowerPoint on Macintosh.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Interior Designers with all aspects of project execution, including conceptual design, space planning, material selection, and procurement.
  • Assist with CAD drafting and space planning tasks under the guidance of senior designers and/or managers.
  • Maintain material library, organizing samples, catalogs and resources for easy access and reference by the design team.
  • Communicate with vendors on custom order quotes and lead times and assist designers with sourcing and procurement efforts as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including PO's, meeting notes and agendas, presentations, and follow up materials as needed.
  • Attend Model installations as necessary.

Regional Interior Design Assistant requires assisting the Manager, Interior Design and Interior Designers with the development and implementation of model homes. The position requires an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be detail oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, ability to cope under pressure, maintain good judgement, eager to learn and have a professional, supportive attitude.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

Your Toolbox
  • Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent work ethic, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback.
  • California Motor Vehicle License - unrestricted. Moderate regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) required.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $17.02 - $26, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
