Job summary

Lennar is seeking an Interior Design Assistant to support project execution, CAD drafting, and material procurement. You will maintain design libraries, communicate with vendors, and help with documentation.

The role requires 1–3 years of interior design experience, proficiency in CAD/Photoshop/In-Design, and strong organizational skills. Travel is moderate; California license is beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts degree preferred; Interior Design experience valued.
  • 1–3 years of Interior Design or related experience.
  • Proficient with CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, Word and PowerPoint on Macintosh.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, able to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with professional attitude and strong communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Interior Designers with project execution, design concepts, space planning, material selection and procurement.
  • Assist with CAD drafting and space planning tasks under supervision.
  • Maintain material library and organize samples for quick reference.
  • Communicate with vendors on quotes and lead times; assist sourcing and procurement.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including POs, meeting notes and agendas.
  • Attend Model installations as needed.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
  • Assist Interior Designers with all aspects of project execution, including conceptual design, space planning, material selection, and procurement.
  • Assist with CAD drafting and space planning tasks under the guidance of senior designers and/or managers.
  • Maintain material library, organizing samples, catalogs and resources for easy access and reference by the design team.
  • Communicate with vendors on custom order quotes and lead times and assist designers with sourcing and procurement efforts as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including PO's, meeting notes and agendas, presentations, and follow up materials as needed.
  • Attend Model installations as necessary.
Your Toolbox
  • Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years Interior Design or related experience.
  • Proficient in CAD, Photoshop, In-Design, Excel, Word and PowerPoint on Macintosh platform.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Excellent work ethic, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Copes well under pressure and can accept constructive feedback.
  • California Motor Vehicle License - unrestricted. Moderate regional travel (including overnight trips and flights) required.
Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $17.02 - $26, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations. This position may be eligible for bonuses.

This position may be eligible for commissions.

This position will be eligible for the described benefits listed in the above section in accordance with Company Policy.
