Job summary
Avangrid Renewables seeks a senior professional to manage interconnection portfolios across a defined region. You will coordinate with internal teams, engage with ISOs and Transmission Owners, and advance interconnection queues from submittal through construction and operation.
The role requires 6+ years in generation development or transmission, strong commercial sense, and the ability to travel for site prospecting and project development activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of industry experience in generation development, interconnections, transmission planning or utility operations.
- Experience interfacing with ISO/TO regions is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills; ability to travel for site prospecting and development activities.
Responsibilities
- Implement interconnection strategies for a region and file interconnection requests.
- Manage requests through to interconnection agreements and regional initiatives.
- Interface with ISOs and TOs, and coordinate with project delivery, development engineering and operations.
- Lead negotiations of LGIP-related agreements and assess interconnection risks.
- Support Avangrid’s commercial and development teams to maximize project value.
