Job summary

AWS is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join the Global Health and Safety Sciences Team and protect health across regional operations. You will identify, evaluate, and mitigate occupational health hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a safety culture regionally.

You will design and implement IH programs, perform exposure assessments, analyze data, and partner with diverse teams to advance safety initiatives. Willingness to travel regionally (25-50%) is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, or equivalent required.
• Strong analytical, communication and data-driven decision skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Define organizational IH risk assessment methodology and regional tolerances.
• Develop and implement strategic IH controls for complex risks (air contaminants, biological, chemical, physical, IAQ).
• Engage leadership and front-line teams to design IH controls and testing strategy.
• Use data and literature to drive business decisions and justify IH initiatives.
• Maintain mastery of industry knowledge and advise leadership on regulatory trends.
• Adapt to fast-paced environments and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting for safety initiatives.
