The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Regional Industrial Engineer to drive Labor Management System (LMS) adoption across regional DSCs in the U.S. This role acts as the SME for LMS and Industrial Engineering, collaborating with site teams, analytics, IT, and operations to improve productivity and financial performance.

You will lead operations analysis, time studies, and model-based improvements, while supporting LMS training and standard work development.

Qualifications

  • Degree and practical knowledge of industrial engineering principles.
  • Proficient in time studies, labor standards, and work design.
  • Experience with statistical modelling techniques (regression, probability) is required.

Responsabilités

  • Provide site-level guidance for LMS operation and sustainability.
  • Assist LMS growth through Quarterly Standard Review Process.
  • Contribute to LMS development via function modelling upgrades.
  • Support LMS team in creating and leveraging engineering labor standards.
  • Use engineered data, time studies, observations, and historical performance to identify opportunities in DSC operations.
  • Drive LMS training documentation across all DSC levels.
  • Assist and own strategic CI projects related to LMS at regional DSCs.
  • Serve as SME of LMS and Industrial Engineering for regional teams.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics to develop reports and analytic tools.
  • Guide Data Analytics in gathering quality data and conclusions for engineering work.
  • Assist IT-AWCS teams in developing and troubleshooting LMS tools.
  • Provide frontline support and troubleshooting for LMS end-user tools.
  • Build strong relationships with operations, CI, safety and maintenance teams.
  • Engage Logistics initiatives teams to support LMS and IE.
  • Provide input to strategic LMS/Engineering projects.
  • Stay current on IE technologies in logistics space.
  • Serve as SME to the wider Logistics region and GSC.
  • Develop systems, tools and processes.
  • Expand knowledge of logistics tech used in the industry.
  • Learn tools to positively impact DSC safety, costs, quality, and service.

Description du poste

The Regional Industrial Engineer will be part of team working to develop, implement, sustain and drive results from the Labor Management System (LMS) in the Logistics region. The regional industrial engineer will be part of the larger reporting and analytics time and work directly with site teams to facilitate the Labor Management System (LMS) and its use at their regional DSCs. This position will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on the Labor Management System (LMS) and Engineering to their regional site teams. Their main duties include providing support in regards to the operation of the LMS at their sites, assisting the development and growth of the Labor Management System (LMS) across the division, driving results in productivity and financial areas from the LMS, identifying Continuous Improvement and operational improvements, providing engineering support as necessary.

Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

30% Travel

This position is also eligible for a bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

  • Provide assistance and guidance to site teams in the operation and sustainability of the LMS at a site level.
  • Assist with the growth and evolution of the LMS through the Labor Management System (LMS) Quarterly Standard Review Process.
  • Contribute to the development of Labor Management System (LMS) through new function modelling existing function upgrades.
  • Support the Labor Management System (LMS) team in creating and leveraging Preferred Work Methods and accompanying Engineering Labor Standards for DSC operational processes.
  • Use Engineered data, time studies, observations, and historical performance to identifying opportunities in DSC operations through the Labor Management System (LMS).
  • Drive the development and leveraging of Labor Management System (LMS) training documentation for all levels of DSC site teams.
  • Assist with and own strategic CI projects related to the Labor Management System (LMS) at regional DSCs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) of the Labor Management System (LMS) and Industrial Engineering for regional site teams.
  • Work with Data Analytics team to assist with development of reporting and analytical tools.
  • Steer Data Analytics team in gathering quality data and conclusions for engineering work.
  • Assist with the guidance of the IT-AWCS teams in developing, growing and troubleshooting tools related to the Labor Management System (LMS).
  • Provide front line support and troubleshooting for the Labor Management System (LMS) end user tools.
  • Develop effective working relationships with peers in operations, CI, safety and maintenance/automation.
  • Develop effective relationships with Logistics divisional initiatives teams and provide support in the realm of the LMS and Engineering.
  • Provides input to strategic projects in the realm of the LMS and Engineering.
  • Stay abreast of latest technologies and information in regards to Industrial Engineering in the logistics space.
  • Serve as a SME in Industrial Engineer to the wider Logistics region and GSC.
  • Development of Systems, Tools and Processes
  • Increasing knowledge of technology used in the logistics and transportation industry
  • Learn and retain tools needed to have a positive effect on DSC safety, operating costs, quality, service and personnel.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering.
  • Must have 1 year experience in Industrial Engineering, Operations or a Technical field.
  • Must have knowledge of and experience in using Industrial Engineering Principles, Including:
    • Time studies and engineered labor standards.
    • Work Analysis and Job Design.
    • Probability and Statistical modelling (regression analysis, expected values, conditional probabilities, stochastic and linear modelling etc).
    • Integrated and complex process modelling and optimization.
    • Engineering economic and value analysis.
    • Ergonomic, Safety Human Factors analysis.
  • Must have experience with SQL in Snowflake or Oracle.
  • Must have prior experience with Tableau.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have experience working with or at a distribution/warehousing facility including warehouse and labor management systems.
