Qualifications

  • Six years of experience in education or natural resource-related fields; a bachelor’s degree can count toward four of the required six years.
  • Prefer a bachelor’s degree in education or natural resource related field.
  • Prefer public speaking experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Florida’s Hunter Safety Program in the northeast region, including implementation and administration.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and support volunteer instructors.
  • Provide support for hunting-related training at Ocala Outdoor Adventure Camp.
  • Monitor course offerings and volunteer activity to meet regional goals.
  • Ensure courses follow instructor manuals and established policies.
  • Maintain liaison with instructors to resolve training issues and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Oversee inventory accounting for regional assets and issue completion cards to students.
