Regional HSE Director

Location: Savannah, Georgia, United States

Compensation Range: $95,000 - $150,000

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to promote safety within the organization.
  2. Lead safety mission, vision, and culture across organizational locations.
  3. Advise the VP of HSE and develop solutions to mitigate safety hazards.
  4. Collaborate with location leaders to foster safety culture and train leaders in incident investigation and corrective actions.
  5. Develop and execute safety procedures and programs to achieve safety results.
  6. Build and lead local safety teams, promoting behavioral safety.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations, and OSHA recordkeeping.
  8. Create and maintain Business Continuity and Emergency Action Plans.
  9. Support safety committees and identify opportunities to reduce workplace injuries.
  10. Conduct safety training, inspections, and audits.
  11. Coordinate incident reporting and corrective actions with safety managers and operational teams.
  12. Maintain OSHA safety logs and related administrative requirements.
  13. Perform other duties aligned with corporate directives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in health, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred; extensive experience may substitute.
  • Safety certifications such as CSP or OHST preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years in occupational health and safety in an industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Strong communication, organizational, supervisory, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and risk management software.
Work Environment:
  • Requires 60% travel and being on-call 24/7 as needed.
  • Domestic and international travel possible.
  • Other duties as assigned.
