Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Regional Manager to oversee a portfolio of multifamily communities, focusing on acquisition, due diligence, lease-up, and capital improvements. The role drives operational excellence, budget management, and strong resident relations across sites, with travel within the region required.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in multifamily management, LIHTC knowledge, and proven leadership to coach site teams while upholding ethics and profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a community management position is highly desired.
• 7+ years in multifamily experience is highly desired, affordable housing experience preferred.
• Lease Up / New Development experience where required.
• Intermediate skill level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of LIHTC and Tax Credit/Bond/conventional qualifications preferred.
• Frequent travel within the region is required.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with residents, executives, vendors, and investor contacts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of the region's operational budgets and monthly statements.
• Maximize portfolio performance through strategic plans and efficiency.
• Oversee rent collections and ensure 0% delinquency where possible.
• Visit communities 3-4 times per week and manage up to 10 sites.
• Coach site leaders and provide clear feedback and staffing decisions.
