Job summary

University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) seeks a Program Coordinator to support healthcare workforce pathway development, coordinating student-facing programs in rural and frontier communities. The role focuses on career exploration, enrichment, readiness activities, and HOSA chapter support with engagement across educators and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience; OR a master’s degree and one year of related work experience.
• Experience in program coordination or program management; experience in workforce development, community engagement, public health, education, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement student-facing healthcare career pathway activities.
• Support student participation in healthcare training and certification pathways.
• Align pathway activities with regional healthcare workforce needs.
• Identify and assess potential HOSA chapter sites within assigned regions.
• Evaluate school readiness, advisor capacity, and infrastructure for HOSA chapters.
• Coordinate student participation in pathway programming, competitions, and enrichment activities.
