Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a Regional Health Physicist for the Radiopharma segment to support cyclotron and PET facilities across the South Central US. You will ensure radiation safety, environmental health and safety compliance, and regulatory reporting while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

The role emphasizes developing and maintaining procedures, audits, and training to balance strict compliance with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Protection (Health Physics), Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, or related field.
• 3+ years of radiochemical or radiopharmaceutical manufacturing operations experience, or equivalent radiation protection work.
• Advanced degree or CHP certification may substitute for up to two years of experience.
• Ability to obtain CHP certification within one year if not already certified.
• Must reside within the South Central United States or be willing to relocate.
• Travel up to 50% domestically to support facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support for radiation safety and EHS programs across facilities in the South Central US.
• Lead implementation of radiation protection and EHS programs in line with regulations and internal policies.
• Prepare and submit regulatory and corporate reports for licensing, compliance, and governance.
• Develop or update programs in response to regulatory changes and operational needs.
• Evaluate radiation safety and EHS impact of new processes and facility changes with engineering teams.
• Oversee audits, inspections, and due diligence related to EHS and radiation safety.
• Develop and revise operating procedures and technical documents supporting safe operations.
• Apply advanced judgment to resolve complex non-routine issues beyond standard practices.
• Offer radiation safety training and guidance to employees and management.
