Join the Sahtu Secretariat Inc. as the Regional Health and Wellness Coordinator, where you’ll play a vital role in fostering community well-being by developing and leading programs that promote healthy living and prevent substance abuse. This is an opportunity to collaborate with community members, Elders, and partners to create holistic, culturally relevant health initiatives that address physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver substance abuse prevention programs and educational campaigns.
• Build partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and regional wellness groups.
• Advocate for policies and initiatives supporting health and wellness.
• Collect and analyze data to measure program success and identify areas for improvement.
• Foster community engagement through workshops, events, and direct feedback.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience managing health programs, particularly in Indigenous or rural settings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Salary: Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
