Job summary

Menlo Ventures is seeking a seasoned FP&A professional in San Francisco to lead planning, budgeting and forecasting efforts aligned with business strategy. You will consolidate inputs from regional teams, monitor KPIs, and deliver insights to drive growth and cost efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years in FP&A within tech/e-commerce, strong modeling, and fluency in English and Mandarin. You will collaborate across functions and implement AI-enabled improvements to reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years FP&A experience in fast-paced e-commerce or technology environments.
• Regional or global FP&A experience, ideally in e-commerce.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Solid accounting background and governance of financial processes.
• Proficiency with SAP and Anaplan.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Group’s planning processes, including annual budgeting, quarterly target setting, and monthly forecasting.
• Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term financial forecasts, budgets, and business plans aligned with business strategy.
• Consolidate and review submissions from Country FP&A teams to support variance analysis and management reporting.
• Monitor financial performance, track KPIs, perform variance analysis, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive financial discipline, optimise cost structures, and support growth and efficiency initiatives.
• Work with country and regional stakeholders to improve financial processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial models, reports, and planning inputs using financial systems and tools.
• Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline reporting and planning activities, including through the use of AI-enabled tools.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, preferably in a fast-paced e-commerce or technology environment.
• Proven experience in a regional or global FP&A role, ideally within the e-commerce industry.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Solid accounting background and understanding of financial process governance.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools, especially SAP and Anaplan.
• Demonstrated track record of using AI tools to improve work efficiency, automate routine tasks, or enhance analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and ability to deliver on time.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
