Job summary

U.S. Forensic, LLC (an ATS Company) seeks a Professional Engineer specializing in Civil/Structural Engineering to investigate structural failures, assess damages, and provide expert testimony when required.

The ideal candidate will hold a PE license, have forensic engineering experience, and be able to manage multiple projects while communicating findings clearly in reports and in court. The position is based in Nebraska or Iowa, with regional case support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Forensic engineering experience is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Experience with expert testimony in legal proceedings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive forensic investigations to evaluate structural damage, defects, failures, moisture intrusion evaluations, premises liability claims, and roof assessments.
• Perform site inspections and gather relevant data to support forensic analysis.
• Utilize engineering principles and practices to analyze and assess structural issues.
• Prepare clear and concise technical reports outlining findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
• Stay current with industry trends, codes, and standards related to structural engineering.
