Advocate Health's Regional Float Pool in the Wake Forest Baptist region seeks a Surgical Technologist to support multiple hospitals with flexibility and variety.

This 40-hour-per-week role offers comprehensive benefits starting on day one, a $5/hour float premium, and sign-on eligibility for qualified candidates; work will be on-site across the Wake region.

Experience with aseptic technique and room turnover, plus ability to rotate shifts and collaborate with surgical teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology or military training program for Surgical Technology; certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Thorough knowledge of aseptic technique and its application.
• Assist in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist RN circulator with patient prep, assembly of supplies, and room turnover.
• Perform duties per department policy and procedure.
• Monitor sterilization and document charges accurately.
• Attend in-services and participate in Performance Improvement Processes.
• Engage in educational opportunities to increase competency.
