Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Regional Float Pool Nurse to provide clinical care across multiple Omaha Metro locations, delivering high-quality patient outcomes with a flexible, proactive approach.

You will follow the nursing process, assess and plan care, implement interventions, and document progress while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team. Travel to facilities as needed supports Medical Surgical services and urgent staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an RN nursing program.
• Active RN license in Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required upon hire.
• Other credentials may be needed based on the level of care RN floats to.
• Ability to travel to multiple metro facilities as needed on short notice.
• At least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty in past 5 years.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across multiple Omaha Metro locations.
• Follow the nursing process which includes assess, plan, implement, and evaluate.
• Document all phases of the nursing process in the patient’s record.
• Expedite responsiveness to facilities with staffing needs.
• Support Medical Surgical departments.
• Demonstrate professional and clinical standards in care delivery.
