Qualifications

• An Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current compact nursing license in the appropriate state.
• Specialty certifications are preferred; NIH Stroke Scale and Cardiac Dysrhythmia training may be required within designated timeframes.
• Excellent communication, customer service, critical thinking, and computer literacy are essential.
• Ability to interpret patient needs based on age and adjust care accordingly.
• Additional training and competency validation may be required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree or BSN preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience in a relevant specialty.
• Licensure: Current compact nursing license in appropriate state.
• Certifications: Specialty certifications preferred; specific training such as NIH Stroke Scale and Cardiac Dysrhythmia required within designated timeframes.
• Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, critical thinking, and computer literacy. Ability to interpret patient needs based on age and modify care accordingly. Additional training and competency validation are required.
• Specialized Skills: Certifications like Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or fetal monitoring are preferred, with opportunities to earn specialty certifications within two years.
