Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and complex tests on patient specimens in a regional lab. You will ensure accurate reporting and maintain quality control records while supporting training for staff and students.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related sciences, at least one year of experience, and eligibility for board certification (ASCP/AMT/NCA/ACHI) to be obtained within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
• Certification or eligibility for board certification by ASCP AMT NCA ACHI or equivalent must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests on patient specimens and provides information for diagnosis, treatment or prevention.
• Maintains records of performance and quality control.
• Instructs staff on laboratory procedures and techniques and may participate in R&D activities.
