Job summary

State Steel Supply Co. is seeking a CDL-A Regional Flatbed Driver to operate a tractor-trailer on regional routes, hauling steel with care and efficiency. This full-time role offers home nights and weekends, shielding you from overnight stops while delivering value to customers.

You'll secure loads, perform pre-trip/post-trip checks, maintain logs, and communicate with supervisors and customers to ensure on-time, safe deliveries across shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Current DOT medical card.
• Excellent driving record.
• Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Experience securing different types of cargo, including oversized loads.
• The strength to chain, tarp, and secure heavy loads in any weather.
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Accountability, integrity, and a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Safely run a tractor and flatbed trailer on regional routes, delivering steel loads.
• Chain, strap, and tarp every load, and do it right the first time.
• Check in and out with your supervisor each day for assignments.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep equipment in top shape.
• Keep accurate HOS logs, DVIRs, proof of delivery, and fuel receipts.
• Stay in contact with your supervisor, sales team, and customers.
• Report any incidents or safety concerns right away.
