Job summary

Steel and Pipe Supply is seeking a CDL-A Regional Flatbed Driver to safely move steel products on a tractor and flatbed trailer. You will secure loads, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain DOT compliance while coordinating with the transportation network.

Qualifications

• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
• Ability to safely handle the physical demands associated with flatbed driving.
• Commitment to Safety, Accountability, Integrity, and Responsibility.
• 1 year of flatbed experience (preferred but not required).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• FMCSA approved ELDT schools are considered for hiring.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor/trailer equipment.
• Secure loads using chains, straps, and other approved securement devices.
• Complete shipping and delivery paperwork accurately and on time.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety requirements.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain HOS, DVIRs, proof of deliveries, fuel receipts, and other required records.
• Communicate with supervisors, sales, customers, and our transportation network.
• Promptly report accidents, incidents, equipment concerns, and safety issues.
• Help ensure cargo arrives safely and securely at its destination.
