The Simplot Company, a diverse global food and agriculture leader headquartered in Boise, Idaho, seeks a Regional Finance Service Manager to lead the credit function across multiple US regions and business segments, developing credit policies, establishing limits, and ensuring compliance.

The role reports to the Senior Retail Financial Services Manager, requires up to 50% travel, and will coordinate a team of Area Financial Service Managers while prioritizing strong credit analytics and policy

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 8+ years related experience and/or training.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing and/or Agriculture preferred.

Summary

The Regional Finance Service Manager manages and leads the credit functions across specific geographic areas and multiple business segments to include developing and maintaining the credit policies and guidelines, establishing credit limits, and ensuring proper compliance. In conjunction with providing leadership to multiple Area Financial Service Managers spread geographically, this role is responsible for managing the entire credit portfolio for an assigned customer segment. This role will report to the Senior Retail Financial Services Manager.

While this position is primarily posted in Boise, ID, we are open to candidates who currently reside within the Western Region, including Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and California, within the Pacific or Mountain time zone. Work location will be determined based on the selected candidate’s location. This role requires up to 50% travel throughout the Western Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Area Financial Service Managers spread in various U.S. locations, providing guidance in policing and larger credit review(s).
• Analyzes financial strengths/weaknesses of prospective and existing customers determine eligibility for credit, financing, or related services.
• Develops, implements, and manages effective collection procedures in accordance with established credit policies.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication with a creditable information network.
• Manages collections process to ensure proper sending of follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referral of accounts to collection agencies.
• Provides insight for the updating of the credit policy as to new concepts and procedures.
• Develop performance objectives for assigned Area Financial Services Manager(s) and their area of responsibility, communicate those objectives and monitor ongoing performance.
• Interview, train, develop and motivate employees to foster their professional development and growth through results-oriented focus, clear communication and direction, delegation and active career development and coaching.
• Continually evaluate, alter and improve the credit function for assigned area to respond to changing needs of the organization, new products, new business, individual initiatives and other activities. Recommend improvements to the Director, Global Credit.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

• 8+ years related experience and/or training.
• Experience in Food Manufacturing and/or Agriculture highly preferred.
• Prior experience in collections and lending and/or the extension of credit.
• Good working knowledge of accounting and banking practices, relevant laws and legal processes, marketing strategy and general agricultural practices.
• Solid background in business administration and financial analysis.
• Prior experience leading multiple managers/supervisors is highly preferred.
• Must be willing to travel to assigned markets 50% of the time (Western Region).

Wage range or rate of pay: $130,000-140,000k plus annual incentive plan eligibility.

The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related reasons.
