Position Summary

We are looking for a Regional Finance Manager (RFM) to strategically enhance store operations and deliver financial targets. The RFM will provide analysis, reporting, and guidance to executives, manage the region’s P&L, drive process improvement, and support payroll and other financial functions.

Base Salary

Base salary range: $96,700 – $146,050, depending on experience, skills, and location.

Key Responsibilities
Regional Financial Analysis and Reporting
  • Provides primary analytical support for one or more Regions and applies financial skillset toward identifying actionable insights.
  • Assumes full P&L analysis responsibility, provides monthly recap to the RVP and Director of Regional Finance.
  • Tracks key store performance metrics and identifies trends and outliers.
  • Oversees financial forecasts and risk analysis for Stores, Districts, and Zones within the overall Region.
  • Identifies risks and opportunities for the RVP and quantifies potential impacts.
  • Reviews and analyzes regional operating expenses on a recurring basis and prepares management summaries with recommendations.
  • Assumes budgeting and reporting responsibility for store travel, G&A travel, and other field expense areas.
  • Consults with RVP, Zone Directors (ZD), and District Managers (DM) to resolve financial and operational concerns.
  • Provides input and feedback into budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Prepares deep dives on company operating initiatives (payroll, inventory control, markdown execution, staffing, etc.) as needed.
  • Provides specific analyses around new stores, new markets, opportunity stores, or special stores.
  • Works with Corporate Store Ops and field partners to ensure execution, consistency, and compliance of programs.
  • Performs ad‑hoc analyses, including root‑cause on sales and payroll planning, and presents findings to leadership.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to improve payroll reporting and management.
Corporate Financial Analysis and Other Support Functions
  • Provides backup support for Corporate‑based reporting functions.
  • Completes portions of the annual store payroll budgeting process in partnership with the Store Finance team.
  • Partners with other Regional Finance Managers to share and adopt best practices across regions.
  • Acts as the Regional "Champion" for the Ross payroll model.
  • Understands and explains all Ross operating statements and reports to the field.
  • Provides vision and insight into development of financial tools.
  • Conducts research, roll‑up, and/or produces regional data requested by Field or Corporate.
  • Serves as the Regional expert for financial systems such as DART and PeopleWorks, leading training and troubleshooting.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related analytical field.
  • 5+ years of retail experience in store management, operations, store support, or field‑based analysis preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and time‑sensitive reports.
  • Excellent proactive communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; knowledge of other analytical software preferred.
  • Ability to conduct "root cause" analysis for financial or operational questions.
  • Strong time‑management skills.
  • Ability to identify operational and financial challenges and recommend feasible solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of store systems, operations, and procedures.
Physical Requirements (ADA)

Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in‑person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files. Requires consistent timeliness and regular attendance and vision requirements for printing or electronic information.

Work Location and Hours

Must work in the corporate office (Dublin, CA) or remote but in the East Coast time zone with an 8 am EST start time.
