Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Regional Field Training Specialist to design, develop, deliver, and measure training programs that improve coworker performance and build skills for both current and future duties.

You will partner with leaders and SMEs to identify gaps, create engaging materials, and choose delivery methods—classroom, virtual, or on-the-job—while mentoring teams and advancing our training strategy.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related training experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Organizational Learning, or Education is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; ability to translate content.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deliver, and measure training programs to improve coworker performance.
  • Collaborate with leaders and SMEs to identify skill gaps and create materials.
  • Determine effective training delivery methods (classroom, virtual, on-the-job).
  • Review and update training content to stay current and impactful.
  • Support and mentor trainees and ensure resources are accessible.

Summary

The Regional Field Training Specialist, under the guidance of the Corporate Head of Training, is responsible for design, development, delivery, and measurement of applicable training programs that improve co-worker performance and develop their skills for both current and future duties.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Works directly with leaders and SMEs to define skill or knowledge gaps through one-on-one interviewing and to design training material
  • Uses engaging facilitation skills to successfully deliver technical and/or soft skills programs
  • Assists with development of video-based microlearning efforts, as well as ensuring finalized resources are shared with co-workers in an educationally sound manner
  • Reviews existing training to determine effectiveness on participant performance, proposes updates where appropriate
  • Assesses other training opportunities, material, third-party vendors, and other information to help the Company ensure it is providing the most up to date learning and development opportunities to employees
  • Proposes realistic solutions to improve performance where training is the appropriate approach
  • Identifies most effective uses of traditional classroom delivery, virtual/on-line delivery, or Structured On-the-Job Training
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of related training experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Organizational Learning, or Education is a plus
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with ability to translate written content
  • Must possess a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft products such as: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Compensation for this position is expected to range from $84,615 to $110,000 annually.

Actual compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, training, skills, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, and business needs.

In addition to base compensation, eligible co-workers may participate in company-sponsored benefits, which may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement savings plans, and other company-sponsored benefit programs, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
