Job summary

Stand Together is seeking a Regional Field Manager – Grassroots Engagement Director to identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders across Casper, Gillette, or Riverton in Wyoming. The role focuses on mobilizing communities to advocate for policy reforms aligned with AFP principles and Stand Together’s mission.

You will organize events, train volunteers, and collaborate with AFP staff and activists to drive action, while managing canvassing contractors and travel within the state.

Qualifications

• Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organizing, and/or political campaigns.
• Ability to motivate diverse communities and individuals to take action.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel within the state and flexibility to work evenings/weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Regional Field Manager – Grassroots Engagement Director

Location: Casper, Gillette, or Riverton, Wyoming. The Regional Field Manager (internally referred to as a Grassroots Engagement Director) will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in these communities, mobilize them to take action, and drive policy reforms that open opportunities for all.

Responsibilities

• Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently—or could become—leaders in their local communities, as elected officials or citizen organizers and motivate them to advocate for change.
• Equip local leaders to advocate for changes that align with AFP’s principles by connecting them to AFP’s training and other resources.
• Organize events where you and other activists engage the public through phone calls, social media, walking through neighborhoods, and other innovative methods to educate people on public policy issues and initiatives.
• Maintain regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
• Manage part‑time canvassing contractors, including time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Passion for people and the ability to build relationships quickly with people from all walks of life and inspire and motivate them.
• Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
• Self‑motivation and a strategic approach to using time to accomplish objectives.
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to keep multiple events and activities on track for yourself and those you engage.
• Ability to work well with a team of AFP staff and activists.
• Excitement to canvass neighborhoods and make phone calls for AFP priority initiatives and AFP Action‑endorsed candidates, and to motivate and coordinate volunteers to do the same.
• A valid driver’s license to travel as needed to meet with people in your area and across the state.
• Willingness to work a flexible and changing schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude.

• Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, and/or political campaigns.
• Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.
