Job summary

Americans for Prosperity (AFP) is seeking a Regional Field Manager to recruit, train, and engage grassroots leaders in Casper, Gillette, or Riverton. You will mobilize activists to support AFP priorities, organize events, and keep communities engaged in policy advocacy across the state.

You’ll work with a team to expand AFP’s reach, manage canvassing contractors, and adapt outreach strategies to local contexts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, or political campaigns.
• Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.
• Willingness to travel within the state and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Identify activists and potential leaders across Casper, Gillette, and Riverton to mobilize for policy change.
• Recruit, train, and support local leaders using AFP resources and trainings.
• Organize and participate in events, phone calls, social media outreach, and door-to-door canvassing.
• Ensure regular contact with activists to keep them engaged, educated, and active.
• Manage part-time canvassing contractors, ensuring compliance with laws and best practices.

As a Regional Field Manager (internally referred to as a Grassroots Engagement Director) you will identify, recruit, and engage grassroots leaders in Casper, Gillette, or Riverton, mobilize them to take action, and drive policy reforms that open opportunities for all.

How You’ll Contribute

• Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently – or could become – leaders in their local communities, as elected officials or citizen organizers and motivate them to advocate for change.
• Equip these local leaders to advocate for changes that are consistent with principles AFP believes in. You will do this, in part, by connecting them to the training and other resources of AFP.
• Organize events where you and other activists can engage the public through phone calls, social media, walking through neighborhoods to talk with people face-to-face. You’ll also be free to innovate, by creating fun or unique ways to reach people to educate them on public policy issues and initiatives.
• Ensure that AFP stays in regular contact with our activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
• Manage part-time canvassing contractors including but not limited to time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices

• A valid driver\'s license to be able to travel as needed to meet with people in your area and across the state, as needed.
• Willingness to work a flexible and changing work schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude.

50000 - 65000 USD a year

For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $50,000–$65,000 per year. This role may also be eligible for additional bonus compensation designed to align total compensation with an employee’s overall contribution to the organization.

Compensation decisions are informed by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, capabilities, demonstrated skills, role responsibilities, and expected contribution. Consistent with this approach, base salary may vary within or outside of the anticipated range based on these considerations.
