Job summary

U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Region 1 Historic Architect Conservation Assistance Center, seeks a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist to lead the regional MAT program and oversee preservation projects.

This temporary role may extend and could become permanent without further competition. Responsibilities include developing program frameworks, managing budgets and travel, and preparing detailed project documentation and annual reports.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the regional Maintenance Assistance Team (MAT) program.
  • Develops and implements program framework and guidelines.
  • Oversees the identification, scoping, prioritization, estimating of preservation projects.
  • Manages financial oversight of MAT operations (e.g., travel, purchases, and expenses).
  • Identifies organizational, project and execution issues, assisting with solutions.
  • Develops long range cyclic maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repair/rehabilitation plans.
  • Develops and reviews project proposals, plans, estimates, and schedules for all maintenance and operations.
  • Prepares reports to include annual reports, project summaries, program briefings, accomplishment reports, and annual reports.
