Job summary

Rain for Rent is seeking a Regional Estimator to manage overall project cost and pricing for large-scale bids. You will mentor sales teams and analyze construction documents and proposals to prepare safe, profitable projects.

The role uses Zoho, Construct Connect and IIR to identify opportunities, collaborates with Branch Manager and Sales Team to drive bid/quote processes, and develops detailed takeoffs and cost estimates for major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• 5 years related engineering, job costing and/or sales experience or equivalent.
• Sales experience in construction rentals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Study specifications to plan procedures for job execution, including timelines and staffing.
• Coordinate with Fleet and Engineering to ensure quote scope and availability.
• Research construction documents to determine estimated costs.
• Develop scope of work, schedule, and installation process.
• Review bid requirements and coordinate contract terms and conditions.
• Include value-engineering ideas on bids.
• Submit 100% of bids and budgets on time.
• Clarify plans and specs with architects, PMs and engineers when needed.
• Develop accurate unit costs.
• Attend pre-bid and site tours as needed.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using company formats.
• Develop value engineering and management analysis options.
