What You Will Do

Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Municipal environmental rules and regulations as well as Clarios Corporate Environmental Standards through the implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System. This will be remote (local to a plant) and 20-50% travel.

Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Municipal environmental rules and regulations as well as Clarios Corporate Environmental Standards through the implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System. This will be remote (local to a plant) and 20-50% travel.

How You Will Do It

  • Lead and maintain environmental compliance programs, ensuring alignment with facility, regional, corporate, and regulatory standards through audits, inspections, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Administer environmental management systems, including hazard analysis, spill prevention, hazardous waste handling, emissions, emergency planning, and employee training.
  • Serve as the technical expert and liaison to Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies, including preparation of required environmental reports and documentation.
  • Monitor and analyze environmental regulations to assess impact on plant operations and guide proactive compliance measures.
  • Communicate environmental risks, opportunities, and performance metrics to plant and regional leadership to drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of environmental responsibility through strategic communication, training, and escalation of issues to appropriate leadership.

Required

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, EHS Management, or related field along with a minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Professional experience in air permitting and operations, wastewater permitting and operations, and regulatory experience in CAA, CWA, SARA, TIER II, TRI (EPCRA), NESHAP, RCRA, CERCLA, SPCC, etc.

For residents of New York City, New York, California, Colorado, and Washington state only, as required under applicable pay transparency laws, the expected salary range for this position if filled remotely is 100K- 130K Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Clarios’ variable pay program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
