Job description

Regional Enrichment Coordinator (Part-Time)
About Togetherhood

Togetherhood connects schools with exceptional enrichment instructors who inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence through engaging after-school programs.

We believe great enrichment experiences happen when talented instructors are supported, schools feel cared for, and students consistently receive high-quality experiences.

We're looking for a Regional Enrichment Coordinator to serve as Togetherhood's field-based representative within an assigned metropolitan area.

If you're passionate about education, relationship-building, and helping students thrive, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

Regional Enrichment Coordinators serve as Togetherhood's eyes, ears, and presence in the field.

In this role, you'll visit schools throughout your region, observe programs, coach instructors, build relationships with school staff, and help strengthen program quality.

You'll also serve as a substitute instructor when needed. Program continuity is our highest priority, and Regional Enrichment Coordinators play a critical role in ensuring students continue to have a positive experience even when unexpected staffing challenges arise. Togetherhood programs serve students across K–12, though most classes are elementary-aged (K–5).

This is a highly mobile role. You'll visit different schools across your region most days you work, so the ideal candidate enjoys variety and being on the go.

This part‑time position (12–15 hours per week on weekdays) reports to Togetherhood's Community Operations Manager and generally follows the academic school year, with limited summer work.

Why This Role Matters

Great enrichment programs depend on providers who keep growing, schools that feel supported, and problems getting caught early. Regional Enrichment Coordinators make that possible through coaching, relationship-building, and consistent field presence. It's a role that blends mentorship, partnership, and reliability in equal measure.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Regional Enrichment Coordinator is:

  • A trusted presence in schools across their region
  • Responsive and reliable when coverage is needed
  • Effective at coaching and supporting providers
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing concerns
  • Committed to delivering high‑quality experiences for students, schools, and providers
What You'll Do
Substitute Instructional Coverage (~20–50% of time)

Substitute instructional coverage is the highest‑priority responsibility of this role.

When an instructor is unexpectedly unable to teach, you'll step in to lead classes and ensure students continue receiving a positive, engaging enrichment experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding promptly to emergency coverage requests during scheduled working hours
  • Traveling to partner schools throughout your assigned region
  • Leading enrichment classes for students when coverage is needed
  • Maintaining a positive and professional classroom environment
  • Communicating with Togetherhood's Operations team regarding coverage status and any issues that arise
Provider Observation & Coaching (~30–40% of time)

You'll help ensure instructors across your region are delivering engaging, high‑quality experiences for students. This is typically a few observations each week, alongside regular site visits.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting classroom observations of enrichment providers. Most observations last 20‑45 minutes and are followed by written feedback and, when appropriate, coaching conversations.
  • Provide feedback that reinforces strong instructional practices and supports provider growth.
  • Conduct follow‑up observations and coaching to support improvement in classroom management, engagement, pacing, and instructional quality.
  • Escalating significant quality concerns to the Community Operations Manager and partnering on appropriate next steps.
Site Visits & Partner Support (~30–40% of time)

Build relationships with school staff, gather feedback, and identify opportunities to strengthen program quality and partner satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular visits to partner schools throughout your region
  • Building positive relationships with school staff and enrichment providers
  • Following up on previously identified concerns and helping ensure they are addressed
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance program quality, strengthen partnerships, and improve the student experience
  • Gather and share partner feedback, insights, and emerging trends with the Togetherhood team
Documentation & Communication (~10–15% of time)

Responsibilities include:

  • Completing observation reports and coaching documentation
  • Recording site visit summaries and key insights
  • Communicating emerging concerns, successes, and trends
  • Ensuring all necessary documentation is captured in our internal platform
  • Escalating safety, quality, or operational issues in a timely manner
Who Thrives in This Role

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy working with educators and youth-serving professionals
  • Find fulfillment in helping others grow through coaching and support
  • Build rapport quickly and thrive in relationship‑driven work
  • Enjoy being in the field and working in a variety of environments
  • Stay calm and resourceful when plans change unexpectedly
  • Care deeply about creating positive experiences for students
Qualifications
Required
  • Experience leading groups of at least 12–15 students in an educational, enrichment, camp, recreation, coaching, arts, or similar setting. Experience working with elementary‑aged students is strongly preferred, as most Togetherhood programs serve grades K–5
  • Ability and willingness to serve as an emergency substitute instructor across a variety of enrichment subjects, including art, STEM, sports, martial arts, and more. Lesson plans and materials will be provided; subject‑matter expertise in every discipline is not required
  • Strong classroom management and group facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reliable access to transportation, with ability to travel throughout an assigned metropolitan region
  • Comfortable providing constructive feedback and coaching to other educators
Preferred
  • Experience teaching enrichment, after‑school, camp, youth development, arts, STEM, sports, or similar programs
  • Experience observing, mentoring, coaching, or supervising instructors
  • Experience working in schools or educational settings
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Schedule & Travel

This is a highly mobile, field‑based role – expect to be traveling to a different school (or several) almost every day you work. Most work takes place on weekday afternoons during after‑school program hours, with occasional daytime school visits for observations and coaching

  • Part‑time (approximately 12–15 hours per week), typically 2-5pm
  • Assigned to a specific metropolitan region
  • Most of our regions have strong public transit; a personal vehicle is helpful but not required
  • Mileage reimbursement may be available for approved travel
Compensation

Compensation for this role is $30 - $38 per hour, commensurate with experience.
