Job summary

Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in the United States is seeking a Regional Engineering Manager- Controls to lead the Controls Team and drive development of control systems for automated manufacturing and packaging lines.

You will supervise project execution, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and collaborate across functions to deliver on-time, on-scope results with a strong emphasis on leadership, technical excellence, and cross-group collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 8-12 years’ experience in a comparable technical position in food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry preferable.
  • Understanding of Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction or Computer Services.
  • Strong communication, listening and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other groups.
  • Travel 20-50% depending on project demands.

**LOCATIONS**

Jackson, TN - Kansas City, Kansas - Cary, NC - Cincinnati, OH

The Regional Engineering Manager- Controls will provide functional and technical support for the Controls Team and will be responsible for the leadership and development of the Associates on the team.

The Regional Engineering Manager is responsible for the development of control systems for automating manufacturing processes and packaging systems and deliver projects to the business that provide a competitive advantage.

Controls design includes developing control concepts, program design, functional and equipment specifications, instrumentation selection and operator interface development. The Regional Engineering Manager also directs the modification and installation of electrical and control systems.

What are we looking for?

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering
  • 8-12 years’ experience in a comparable technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry preferable
  • Basic understanding of engineering principals - knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction or Computer Services
  • In-depth understanding of functional engineering area of expertise
  • Team skills - high-performance team experience
  • Good communication, listening and influencing skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Innovative thinking
  • Able to work collaboratively with other groups
  • 20-50% travel requirement depending on project demands

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, MBA
  • PMP certification

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 134,400.00 - USD 184,800.00
