Quikrete is seeking a Regional Plant Engineer to lead capital projects and process improvements across Texas bag concrete plants. You will partner with Corporate Engineering and plant teams to implement upgrades from conception to completion.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of on-site industrial experience, strong electrical/mechanical maintenance skills, AutoCAD 2D proficiency, and a willingness to travel up to 70%. This role offers challenging projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or higher degree.
• 3–5 years of on-site plant experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance, regulatory compliance, material handling and AutoCAD 2D.
• Strong relationship-building and communication across all levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 70%.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Corporate Engineering and Facility staff to execute projects from conception to completion.
• Spend time in small bag concrete plants to manage equipment installs and upgrades through to completion.
• Identify, design and drive improvement opportunities with palletizers, dryers, hooders, conveyors, robots, elevators.
• Develop Continuous Improvement initiatives at the plant through capital and process improvements.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Visit plants and conduct full-scale audits on machinery, processes, and maintenance.

Quikrete, the leading producer of packaged concrete and related products, is looking for a Regional Plant Engineer. Due to coverage needed for the entire state of Texas, the successful candidate can be based out of the following locations: DFW metroplex / San Antonio / Houston.

About the Role

What you will do:

• Partner with Corporate Engineering and Facility staff to develop and execute projects from conception to completion.
• Be ready to spend the time needed in our small bag concrete plants to manage and assist with equipment installs and upgrades through to completion.
• Utilize your expertise and experience to identify, design and drive improvement opportunities with palletizers, dryers, hooders, conveyors, robots, elevators etc.
• Develop Continuous Improvement initiatives at the plant both through capital and process improvement.
• Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Visiting plants and executing full scale audits on the machinery, processes, and maintenance functions.

About You

We Require:

• BS in Engineering or more advanced degree.
• Driven by process improvement, equipment upgrades and continuously seeking areas to better our business.
• Industrial manufacturing experience including 3 – 5 years working on site in plants.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance, government and environmental compliance, material handling and storage and AutoCAD 2D.
• Exceptional relationship building skills and are able to communicate well at all levels
• Must be able to travel up to 70%.
