Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Regional Team Member Relations Specialist to lead complex investigations and advise HR Operations on employee relations matters across multiple sites. The role emphasizes confidentiality, analytical decision-making, and strong communication.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR-related field, at least 5 years of HR experience with 4 years in employee relations, and familiarity with US employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent years of HR experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant HR experience, including at least 4 years in employee relations and conducting complex investigations.
• Working knowledge of US Federal and State Employment laws (Title VII, ADEA, FLSA).
• Strong analytic skills and ability to present data to identify trends and offer strategic advice.
• Excellent communicator with ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Able to handle confidential information with integrity and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns, including harassment, workplace violence, discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct, and provide recommended actions.
• Monitor progress of corrective actions and progressive discipline from investigations.
• Manage investigations involving temporary/multiple locations (virtual and on-site).
• Serve as a consultative partner to HR Operations on terminations, reductions in force, performance improvement plans, and accommodations.
• Conduct climate assessments and work with TM Relations to implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee action plans stemming from investigation trends and engagement surveys to enhance TM experience.
• Support Joint Commission, Department of Health, or other surveys as needed and implement tools/templates.
• Assist in rollout of TM Relations and compliance initiatives as assigned.
