Job summary

RESRG is seeking a Regional EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety across multiple plants in the region. You will build partnerships with the Regional Operations Director, Plant Managers and functional leaders to drive risk management and capability development aligned with company values.

You will drive EHS standards, support capital projects and continuous improvement, and coach leaders to build sustainable EHS capability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic EHS leadership across multiple sites, aligning with risk philosophy and business priorities.
  • Drive consistent implementation of corporate EHS standards and risk controls across facilities.
  • Collaborate with regional and site leadership to integrate EHS into operations, planning and CI initiatives.
  • Coach and develop Plant Managers and EHS Managers to grow regional EHS leadership capacity.
  • Lead regional EHS governance, performance reviews, audits and incident investigations.
  • Support capital projects, acquisitions, and major changes to ensure EHS risks are managed.

Regional EHS Manager Job Description

  • Build and maintain trusted, collaborative partnerships with the Regional Operations Director, Plant Managers, Functional Leaders, and key Capability teams. Become the preferred resource for EHS risk management, compliance, and organizational capability development.
  • Provide strategic EHS leadership across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with company values, risk philosophy, operational priorities, and EHS cultural expectations.
  • Drive consistent implementation of corporate EHS standards, management systems, and critical risk controls across all assigned facilities.
  • Partner with regional and site leadership teams to integrate EHS excellence into operational performance, business planning, capital projects, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop Plant Managers, EHS Managers, and operational leaders to build sustainable EHS leadership capability throughout the organization.
    • Support Plant Managers and EHS Managers in developing frontline leaders' EHS knowledge, accountability, and ownership.
    • Promote leadership behaviors that strengthen employee engagement, hazard recognition, and injury prevention.
  • Partner with Plant Managers to recruit, develop, retain, and succession-plan highly effective EHS talent across the region.
    • Provide functional leadership and indirect supervision to site EHS Managers.
    • Assess organizational capability and identify development opportunities to ensure sites have the EHS resources and expertise required to achieve business objectives.
    • Facilitate sharing of best practices and lessons learned among sites.
  • Work through Plant Managers and EHS Managers to continuously improve regional performance in:
    • Critical Risk Management
    • Significant Injury and Fatality (SIF) Prevention
    • Shop Floor Safety and Employee Engagement
    • Environmental Compliance and Sustainability
    • Regulatory Compliance and Government Relations
    • Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
    • Conformance to company baseline expectations and management systems
    • ISO 14001 and other applicable management system requirements
    • Risk assessment, auditing, and corrective action management
  • Lead regional EHS performance reviews and governance processes to ensure accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across all sites.
  • Analyze regional EHS metrics, trends, audits, incidents, and risk assessments to identify systemic issues and deploy effective corrective actions and preventive strategies.
  • Provide leadership and support for significant incidents, regulatory inspections, customer audits, and crisis response activities within assigned facilities.
  • Conduct routine site assessments, leadership engagements, and management system reviews to verify effectiveness of EHS programs and risk controls.
  • Lead or sponsor regional and enterprise EHS initiatives, strategic projects, and improvement teams where they create value and improve organizational capability.
  • Support capital projects, acquisitions, divestitures, facility expansions, and major operational changes to ensure EHS risks are identified and effectively managed.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for EHS issues, regulatory concerns, significant incidents, and complex risk management challenges within the region.
  • Foster a culture of care and continuous improvement by leveraging performance culture concepts, sharing best practices, benchmarking performance, and promoting innovation across facilities.
