Job summary

Teradyne is seeking a Regional Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to support environmental, health, and safety compliance for its California operations, primarily in San Jose and Agoura Hills. You will serve as the local EHS expert, ensuring permits, waste management, Cal/OSHA, and corporate policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety, environmental compliance, or industrial safety programs.
• Working knowledge of hazardous waste management, environmental permitting, air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, and chemical management requirements.
• Experience with OSHA recordkeeping, incident investigations, and occupational safety programs.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EHS resource for Teradyne's San Jose and Agoura Hills facilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage hazardous waste programs including waste characterization, inspections, manifest tracking, storage, and disposal activities.
• Maintain environmental permits and coordinate permit renewals, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
• Support compliance with Cal/OSHA requirements and corporate safety standards.
• Coordinate injury, illness, and incident investigations, reporting, corrective actions, and trend analysis.
• Maintain OSHA logs and support annual OSHA reporting requirements.
• Manage site chemical approval processes, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and chemical inventory programs.
• Track utility consumption, waste generation, and environmental metrics required for emissions inventories and sustainability reporting.
• Lead and support local sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, recycling, energy efficiency, and resource conservation programs.
