Job summary

Credence, a defense-focused technology contractor, is seeking a Data Scientist to support the 9AF (AFCENT) Intelligence Directorate in USCENTCOM AOR and Shaw AFB, SC. The role involves research, analysis, and production of intelligence products to inform planning and operations.

As a team member, you will contribute to predictive analytics training, coordinate with national and service intelligence centers, and help ensure quality control of Threat to Air Operations (TTAO) products.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert support through research, analysis, collaboration, and authoring of intelligence products related to emerging events in the AOR, VEO activity, leadership intent, cultural and religious dynamics, and significant economic/political events—emphasizing implications for 9AF (AFCENT) plans/operations.
• Oversee training on predictive and forensic analysis focusing on environmental, economic, and socio-cultural drivers in the AOR.
• Support 9AF (AFCENT) planning by authoring/reviewing prioritized intelligence and production requirements, estimates, and annexes.
• Serve as adversary airpower authority on 9AF (AFCENT)’s Red Team during war-gaming/exercises and adaptive planning processes.
• Leverage formal/informal analytic exchanges to foster peer collaboration, vet products, and maintain acuity on essential tradecraft elements.
• Coordinate with the National Command Authority; national/international/service centers; Combatant Commands, Air Components, and Wing Intelligence.
• Maintain access to specialized intelligence/ops communities (ACCM, JSTO, limited distribution reports) to enhance situational awareness and planning.
• Act as Regional Dynamics SME/advisor to ACC and 51st Intelligence Squadron, supporting training, operations, and Threat to Air Operations production per USAF TTPs.
